候補。
第51回グラミー賞のノミネートが発表された。全部で110部門。2007年10月1日から2008年9月30日までに全米でリリースされた作品がノミネート対象となっている。発表は2009年2月8日、ロスアンジェルスのステイプルズ・センターで行われる。中継はCBS。12月17日までに投票権のある会員に投票用紙が郵送され、会員は1月14日までに返送する。その後集計され、2月8日に発表される。
今年の最多はリル・ウェインの「アルバム」を含む8部門、コールドプレイが7部門、さらに、カニエ・ウェスト、ジェイZ、ニーヨが6部門でノミネートされている。
このところ、コラボレーションが多数でているが、ポップ部門でも多くの候補がコラボレーションになっている。アリシア・キーズとジョン・メイヤー、マドンナとジャスティン・ティンバーブレイクなど。
グラミー賞は今年から、ノミネーションの発表自体もテレビ中継を行った。また、2008年12月6日、ロスアンジェルスのダウンタウンに「グラミー博物館」がオープンしている。
「ソウル・サーチン・ブログ」でも1月末までに、恒例のグラミー予想を行う予定。主なノミネートは次の通り。
